Blackout can be applied onto Steel, Wood, Aluminium, Plastics, Copper, Carbon Fibre, Ceramics, Stone, Brick, Glass and more!

Blackout is designed to convert rust into a stable compound and prevent further corrosion on metal surfaces. It is particularly useful for surfaces that already have rust or corrosion, as it chemically reacts with iron oxide (rust) and transforms it into a protective layer. Once applied Blackout is touch dry in just 30 minutes with full cure time taking around 3 hours.

  1. Chemical Conversion: Blackout contains an active ingredients that chemically reacts with the iron oxide in rust, converting it into a more stable compound.

  2. Stabilizes Rust: The chemical reaction transforms the rust into a black or dark blue substance, often referred to as ferric tannate or iron phosphate. This stable layer helps prevent further oxidation, effectively halting the progression of rust.

  3. Primer Properties: Blackout works also as a primer. Once the rust is converted, the paint provides a primed surface suitable to be over painted with another paint type.

  4. Easy Application: Blackout is typically easy to apply with a brush or roller. It can be used on various metal surfaces, including iron, steel, but also on plastics, wood, glass and more.

  5. Versatility: Blackout is versatile and can be used in various sectors, such as automotive, fences, railings, machinery, woodwork, DIY, garden & craft. Blackout can withstand temperatures of -40c to +240c

  6. Long-Term Protection: When used properly, Blackout can offer long-term protection against rust formation. However, it's essential to follow the instructions regarding application. Blackout will remain permanently flexible and resistant to further cracking.

Does what it says on the tin. Covers in one coat. I used this on my rusty chiminea.

A new lease of life!

Have purchased my second tin if this wonderful stuff.
It's spruced up some tired looking garden furniture, given them a new lease of life.
About to embark on revitalising a chimney I'm sure it will look as good as new too.
Easy to apply,
clean brushes in just water.
I highly recommend this product. 5*

Absolutely Brilliant.

Used this paint on our fences and wooden garden benches. So very easily put on with a roller and paint tray. We also used brushes between the slats in our fences. Being a water based paint the brushes were so very easily washed out afterwards. I bought 6 tins of this great paint from the shopping channel QVC and I’m most definitely going to buy more of it as soon as it becomes available again. I just want to keep some extra on standby for touch up next year. Absolutely Brilliant Paint. Well done SFIXX . I’d very highly recommend it.

Durable

Very good, only problem, there is no info on cleaning brushes after use, nothing at all, tells you what to use it on, and that’s it, apart from that, very pleased with outcome, would certainly recommend it
